You can't really start talking about this place without mentioning the view. We were lucky enough to always have a great weather and the sunsets were just AMAZING. You can literally lay in the bed and watch the sunset though the wall-sized window. The best hotel view we've seen during our trip. The reception will arrange any activities you might want during your stay. Since the breakfast was not included, we went to Orchid Coffee - highly recommended. The room has a kitchen and the bathroom is roomy.

How wonderful was it to stay at the Monteverde House with its fully equipped kitchen and fantastic washing machine, which washes and dries clothes in an hour. Nestled at the Curi-Cancha Reserve making it a haven for bird and wildlife watching. Excellent views to the cloud forest and for sunsets. 100 m from a bus stop, 200 m from cafes, shops and restaurants. Excellent communicators and arranged a pick up for me at the bus station in Santa Elena. They give great advice on things to do and book tours, bus, timetables, taxis, etc. Parking on site. So quiet and comfortable. Very spacious and lovely to wake up to hear the chirping of birds. I loved it here and wish to highly recommend the Monteverde House.

La Casa Bonita is a lovely wee place. So comfy and light and sunny (when the sun is out of course!). It has everything you could need including the most comfortable, large bed. Marielitos, the host, is super chill, friendly, accommodating and helpful - and she makes the best breakfasts! A great value place for sure. Tip: If you want a wildlife/bird guide, ask Marielitos for Roy’s number. He is one of the most experienced guides in the area and truly superb.

Clean and spacious bungalow, excellent value for money, just a short distance outside Monteverde. Great choice for staying in Monteverde, easy to reach with the car. The staff at reception could only speak Spanish, but that was not a problem for us (and in any case, there is always google translate, or similar). Very comfortable accommodation - highly recommended. Also appreciated the washer/dryer.

The location was great - very accessible to Santa Elena and activities in Monteverde, but also slightly outside of town so it was quieter and more private. Staff members Marvin and Kenneth gave great recommendations for local restaurants and were very helpful with booking activities/tours. We loved being able to cook in the kitchenette and we loved drinking our coffee in the swinging chairs on our porch each morning. Absolutely incredible view of the mountains!

Upon our arrival to the house, Marcela gave us a warm welcome with fruits and explained how everything operated in the house, there was a washing machine and fully equipped kitchen (olive oil, salt and pepper and washing liquid) which was very convenient. She also gave us recommendations for trails and helped us book a guided night tour. The house itself was very clean and modern with Marcela at our disposal throughout our stay. The house was also very close to restaurants (walking distance)

The A-frame house is in a spectacular location. The house provides all the amenities needed for travelers and much more. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for self catering and the hosts provide highly appreciated provisions for breakfast and sundowners🫶

The warm welcome from Marcela who went out of her way to help us. We liked the facilities of our studio, including a washing machine and a well equipped kitchen for self-catering. The location was great, peaceful and a little bit out of the main town, very close to Stella’s bakery for a breakfast overlooking the monkeys, and just a few minutes walk from the Curi Cancha reserve.
