I agree with the praise: incredible location- waking up by the awakening jungle in the morning- spotting tucans, colobries, monkeys, over coffee i- it felt very safe and at the same time like an adventure out, it felt like a sleepover in a (luxury!)treehouse…designed with an eye for beauty, using natural resources. We stayed longer then intended. The shower was lovely and lush, providing refreshment in the tropical climate. It is best suited for people who travel by car (4x4) ways are short but lead up gravel roads. James pointed us to great locations, encouraging to explore more authentic and remote corners of the area - drawing maps, pointing us towards lovely local friends and the best beaches, hidden gems and sodas - it added a sense of authenticity to the well-branded ‘pura vida gringo beach vibe’ of the coast. Even our teenage daughter who was sceptical at first really loved it. Recommended! ❤️

If you are looking for a place to party that's definitely not the right place. But if you are looking for a quiet place, where you can hear and maybe see (if you are patient) wild animals, that's definitely the place to be. The location is great, far away from the party but close enough to get some groceries or to go on the beach. But the best of all is Gonzalo, the owner of the place. He is an amazing human and a skillful chef. The breakfasts are amazing. Thanks for all the good memories, Monsieur Gonzalo. I am wishing you the best for the new year coming. And let's get the 4th ⭐. We had a wonderful stay in Mecca. The accomodation is in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo but easy to acces by taxi or bike. The place is clean and equipped with everything you need. Kim is a really kind host, she will inform you of all the things to do in the area. We had a great time and miss the two cute dogs already.

Such a lovely and welcoming place. The accommodation is very clean, spacious and the hostess thought of the smallest things to make sure you will enjoy your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, I regretted I only booked one night and would definitely recommend Casa Luce!

These Casas are just amazing, a two minute walk to the beach. Waves can be heard at an ear shot and gives a calming effect. The shower is great and the beds are very confortable aswell. Easy access to the National Parks. To top it all off, "Nicole" the Casa Viva manager was adorable, she is helpful, has great ideas of where to go and what to do and she is just a call away. I would definitely stay at the Casa Viva again. Thank you Nicole (…give Gloriana my best, she was a terrific Bri Bri Reservation Tour Guide). Sonya & Stefan

The nicely built lodge with open kitchen, lounge area and hammocks. The great setting in the jungle and the feeling of being the only humans around. Plenty of things to do around, very close to Cahuita and Porto Viejo though.
