The owner of the cottage was really nice. Very welcoming and gave a lot of advice on places to eat/go out. The cottage is a really old house and it is a nice experience to stay there. Great breakfast, comfortable room with real beds for the children, good shower, pleasant common room - our son could borrow a sledge (we'd forgotten ours), and the owners even dealt with our pizza delivery when they came early and we missed the call! It was lovely in winter with the snow but we'll definitely be back in summer too.
