Good communication before arrival. Easy check in and collection of booked bedding/towels. Site is by the water and close to a cycle route/footpath. Good children's playground. We stayed in lodge 1, Double room was very snug but fine for our short stay, mezzaine room beds good for under 12s and sofa turned into bed for my 17 year old, i would book a 3 bedroom for a longer stay. Very good kitchen facilities, good sized living space with high ceiling. Good shower room and heating. Nice veranda with table, chairs and a bbq. Able to park car next to lodge. Short drive to supermarket, butchers and pizza takeaway. Was a good base for exploring Zealand, close to Holbaek and Roskilde, and site seemed popular with caravaners and campers.

The house and garden are extremely well maintained and we immediately felt comfortable. The interior and equipment is of high quality and we found all we needed, also for cooking in the evenings. A guide for the sauna and heating etc. was really helpful to navigate in and around the house. We could really feel the hosts care about their guests and thought about everything!
