The family who run Mocca are amazing they booked our trip to Mount Ijen, picked us up from the train station and organised our transport to Denpasar airport in Bali. The rooms are very big with a comfy big bed and a really nice modern bathroom. The breakfast is also great and they even made us a packed breakfast to take with us when we had to leave at 4am for the airport. Cannot recommend this place enough!!! 😊

Beautiful guest house in the middle of the jungle with beautiful bungalows and surrounding lands. We loved the hospitality of our hosts Ericka and Marc and all their staff. The food cooked by Rico was amazing. We ate there every night. In the surrounding area, we also enjoyed the walk through the villages and rice fields. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and amazing stay.

This was one of the best hostels we stayed at in Indonesia! The staff was incredibly kind, and the place was immaculate. We loved the self check-in system, which was very convenient as we arrived late at night. The Ijen tour we booked through them was well-organized, and they also helped us arrange transport to Malang. If you love tranquil locations with great views, this is the place for you!

This place is the real deal! It's an amazing place to stay and get a feel for the culture and landscape. The family that owns and runs it are warm and helpful. The setting amongst the rice terraces and up on the hill is stunning. Well worth staying for a few days to soak it all in. The rooms are lovely too and it's much cooler than down in the main town. The breakfasts are great too including fresh berries from the family garden.

Ali is an exceptional host, dedicated to his community and the culture that makes it whole. Willing to share his environment, he took us into the Mangrove, meet the volunteers there, and we could participate in planting some, in a plan to preserve this rich ecosystem. You can have a night walk into a dragondruit field as well, to understand its cycle, and relish in savouring one. Amel, his wife, made the best breakfasts and dinners we had on Java, in a friendly and well decorated natural environment. You just feel home. Extra bonus : Ali knows a lot of people in the whole Banyuwangi area and beyond, and it helped us in many ways, like booking a surf lesson on Red Island Beach over the phone at night for the next morning.     We stayed here for one night during our world bicycle trip on our way to Banyuwangi. It’s a lovely homestay in a beautiful garden with outdoor kitchen and clean rooms owned by a kind couple. Ali and Amel asked us to join an Indonesian wedding in the village, what was a great and forever memorable experience. Terima kasih banyak! PS: Be prepared for a lot of photos and videos ;-)
