Absolutely loved the accommodation. The rooms were lovely and immaculate and we were made to feel very welcome. The delicious breakfast had been left for us in the little kitchen so could have it when we wanted it.

We loved everything about our stay. It was the perfect historical setting. The grounds were so beautiful to walk, watch the swans, or sit at the big window (if raining) and enjoy the gardens. It’s still close enough to town to see the sites or take a tour then return to a relaxing home. Sharing a house and meeting other travelers was a bonus. Most of all, we enjoyed our evening with the host (Mark) and his son (Harry) sharing stories. We highly recommend staying at the Shannon River House.

The apartment is excellent value for money. It was lovely and cosy yet spacious. We felt really secure and comfortable. There are great transport links into Limerick and a lovely bakery just minutes away. Joe the host was lovely!

    Beautifully furnished and by far the most luxurious self catering accommodation we stayed in during our tour of Ireland and, indeed, many others we have booked in the past. Lovely touch to arrive to bread, butter, scones homemade jams and other goodies. The beds were so comfortable and the bed linen was fantastic quality. My husband has mobility issues and the apartment was great for him with the added benefit of parking directly outside. Catherine is a great host and Kevin's joke went down well too!

    My cottage was beautiful . It had 2 vintage twin beds that were gorgeous. Beautiful new bathroom, slippers and a terry cloth robe. There was enough food in the kitchenette that I never went out to eat. I just wish I could have stayed longer.

    What a beautiful place! The Carriage Houses are suites with a nice sitting area, small kitchenette and a large double 4 poster bed with crisp cotton sheets! Divine! It is tastefully decorated with antique furniture. It was well stocked with breakfast foods. The homemade jams were just sublime! And the hosts very welcoming and friendly.
