we were fortunate to have the whole house to ourselves and really love the place it was good to have the heavy plastic sheets to block the cold and tatami floors were great to sleep on very well-furnished traditional country house with modern amenities, we look forward to a return visit Manabu-san was a great host, and we enjoyed yakitori at his restaurant

Perfect location, close to the bus stop, Kumano Kodo and Hongu Taisha. Places to eat and Cafes are a short walk away as well as a Post Office which has ATMs. The house is a home from home, well equipped, comfortable, nicely designed and clean. There is a hot and cold water station in the kitchen as well as a stock of snacks, carefully selected catering for all tolerances. There is even a separate laundry room, where I quite happily washed and dried. What sets this place from the rest is the consideration that has gone into everything to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and as pleasant as possible, which in it self, reflects the thoughtfulness and kindness of the host. The Owners helped greatly with the Luggage Service as well as providing us with emergency Equipment and information of the Typhoon. Informing way before the Stay and also after we left the the Accomodation to Continue the Kumano Kodo. First time i experienced this and it's greatly appreciated. The house had everything that you might need for your stay, Kitchen, Washing machine. the House itself is neat, clean and very charming

Clean, tidy self check was easy. Bedrooms have air conditioning, tv and comfortable beds The room facilities are practical: a basin, cabinet for toothpaste/brushes and shaver. Cupboard space in room to store clothes and personal property. shower facilities are : sex divided, cleaned daily. Towels provided for guests. Also showering products,.Laundry facilities are good: washing machine cost 300yen and 100 yen for dryer. Good communal area where a view of river and mountains which have a green covering of trees and plants,. Eagles can also be seen from the communal area's windows. Kitchen facilities are very good: electric cooker consists of: 2 X hobs a grill. Pots, pan, cutlery, crockery, kettle, coffee percolator, fridge and freezer accompany the kitchen. The property is cleaned regularly. There is a bus stop outside the property which links up with other transport networks just a few minutes away.A supermarket is 5 minutes away: has all the products for one's stay.The centre of town is one short bus stop outside the property, you could walk there in 10 minutes.

I really enjoyed my staying here. Unfortunetly just one night and alone. This is a perfect place to spend at least some days in a group. I hope I have the chance to do this one day. The house is mainly home made but everything you need is there. The host even left me some snacks and small food for the night. I enjoyed the silence of the morning and I have slept like a baby. Even if it's not the clean fancy place some people may search, in my opinion for a Kumano Kodo hiker this is the place to be! Countryside mountain Japan vibes! Thank you a lot for it!

It was great having the whole place to ourselves. We loved the heater under the table, it was lovely and cosy. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect. A lovely traditional house with all modern comforts. Beautifully clean and well presented. Great value. Tak came to meet us and helped with everything and gave us lots of tips. Beautiful location, car is useful.
