We loved our stay at Yala Grand Homestay. The rooms impress with tasteful interior design, the place is peacefully located under palm trees next to rice paddies and the owners are so helpful and friendly, they will make your stay a great experience. Kasun is very knowledgeable about Sri Lankan wildlife and can take you on safari if you want. He is also a guide/driver for traveling his home country and can give you great recommendations and advice. His wife is a great cook and will make you feel right at home.

The wood cottage are comfortable and clean and also we had a very nice view at the beautiful lake. It was the best service during our whole stay in Sri Lanka. Very friendly owner and a great hospitality.the surrounding is nice and quiet, there are chairs and a table in front of the bungalow, it's perfect for a cup of tea after a safari. We also had breakfast and dinner here, which was very good. there are peacocks all over the place and other bird life to be seen too. They also organized our trip to Yala National Park, We had a driver that really knew his stuff and had the most amazing eyesight. We saw a leopard up close, a tusker elephant, more elephants bathing, and crocodiles, lizards, birds etc. I am really recommend better to organized Yala Safari with them. Because there have so many fake safari organizations.

I loved my stay here! Hands down our favourite hotel of the trip. The villa is gorgeous, plenty of space for the 5 of us. The whoops of joy as our kids explored the place said it all! Private pool, incredible food, attentive staff, wildlife all around. On our first evening, the guides took us to the red sand beach, about a 20 minute walk away. Very beautiful. You walk past a lake with baby crocs, can spot iguanas and other wildlife. Magical. We booked a safari through the hotel, the jeep was comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They packed us a breakfast to take with. The service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave.

What you see on the pictures, is exactly what you get. We had different Sri Lanka dishes for breakfast every day. It tasted amazing We booked a safari through them and they treated us with different things to our safari. This is a place who is really worth your money.
