This is a huge vacation rental. Three bedrooms (2 with double beds and 1 with 2 single beds). Lots of room for clothes. Very large living/dining area with couch, armchairs, TV, dining table. Full size well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. Big bathroom. Access to hot tub, barbecue and outdoor pizza oven. Washing machine and dryer. Quiet street but close to shops and services. Very convenient for Tongariro National Park or fishing. Your hosts Beth and Don are friendly and helpful, and know the local area very well. Would be great for a family vacation.

Location is good. Hot pools average and have rusty stuff in the water. There were lots of black ants on the kitchen bench and a nearby roster that made a noise early morning. Beds are clean and comfy.

Motel has had a very recent revamp and is fresh, modern, clean and spotless inside, nicely decorated too. It seems like they're still in the process of renovating this place, so I'm looking forward to more beautification in the future. The bathroom was great, really modern and nice. And it was awesome to have a full kitchen. The best part was the thermal pools!! How amazing to have unlimited use of a private thermal pool (there's 4 to choose from), 24/7! Friendly, helpful staff too. We were impressed.

We're not fishing types but this was a lovely place to stay. Lodge number 8 was very peaceful and comfortable with a decent kitchen for self catering. It's good value for money, there's a laundry and the cafe is excellent. Pleasant sitting out area. It's also sufficiently close to the National Park which was ideal for the day walks we wanted to do.

Lovely log cabin, the best stocked self catering kitchen we have stayed in in NZ over the years, very friendly and accommodating staff, fireplace with kindling all ready to go and large wood box outside the property.
