We’ve traveled a lot, Gillian and I, extensively to Europe and Asia and Africa. But that said this is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. The cottage is both cosy and quirky and full of character and charm. It has everything you need from a cork screw to a washing machine and everything in between. Jo the host is excellent, not interfering but available if you need anything. It’s a place to curl up and read, laugh and joke over a glass of wine or go for a long walk. It’s quite remote yet good shops are only 20 minutes away. We loved all the friendly farm animals, even the cows were up for a chat. And the icing on the cake was the fresh farm eggs and cut flowers. Give me this place over a 5 star hotel any day. Jo you did a great job.

Quiet & peaceful surroundings. I really enjoyed reading the history of the cottage & about the family ownership present & past. The little cottage offered comfort, warmth of a fire & heater. Clean spacious kitchen with all amenities, dishwasher, stove, coffee machine,fridge/freezer, & much more, everything a kitchen needs. Bathroom. Shower with amazing water pressure, very clean & tidy. Laundry facillity provided washer & dryer. Bedrooms were clean, tidy & very comfortable.

Well equipped kitchen including basic cooking supplies & condiments. Plenty of firewood for the fire which kept the place cozy & warm. Electric blankets were much appreciated too. Kids had heaps of fun playing with the farm dogs & the donkeys.

Everything! What a beautiful home you have created! It was my partners birthday and we loved sitting in front of the fire with a wine (left in the fridge by the host) and a whiskey! The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. The fire heated the whole house and THE VIEW! At sunset was unreal! We had such a wonderful time and would love to come back next time we visit our friend in Waipukurau! Was the highlight of our week long trip! Thanks so much 😊
