We stayed 3 nights at La Chachalaca and we really loved it. The view was fantastic. We slept so well, surrounded by the birds chirping and the sound of the wind. We fed the birds daily and we managed to see quite a variety of them, including the mesmerising toucan. Patricia was a very kind host, always available with information and recommendations.

This sweet little cabin is located in a wonderful, natural area near La Laguna (lake) and Cerro Picacho (mountain). The setting and grounds are beautiful and the lake is within walking distance. The trailhead to a Cerro Picacho hike is on the way to the lake. There is warm water in the shower in the stunning bathroom and a kitchen with all of the equipment you need to cook your meals (there are no restaurants in the area). Bring your hiking shoes and portable chairs so you can enjoy the outside space! Check-in was super easy and the place was spotless!

friendly, really lovely place to stay in El Valle. right next to start of India Dormida trail. hosts went out of the way to make you feel comfortable- including fresh fruit smoothie made for us after returning from a hike!

    Lovely helpful staff, breakfast was always delicious and different everyday. The kitchen was really well stocked with kitchenware and also spices, oil etc. which was great for cooking. The space is lovely, chilling in the hammock after a morning of hiking was the dream. The location was great too. Would 100% stay again if I was back in el valle.

    Love the hammocks. The access to a fridge and kitchen was nice to have cold drinks. Breakfast was good. Good food close by on the corner.
