We've got a list of recommended places around Calheta to eat/drink and it didn't disappoint at all In general, the accommodation is very cozy, the interior design is top notch and everything on the island is easily reachable with a car.

What a beautiful place! The cottage was spotless, roomy, and surrounded by breathtaking nature with a view of the ocean. The host was incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!! :)

It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were very kind and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The property is surrounded by stunning views in every direction, and we especially enjoyed the lovely animals around. It was the perfect place to stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira.

    The owner was really helpful and kind. The house was in the centre and everything was in the nearby. It has a big garden and a terrace with a nice view. In the kitchen we found everything we needed to cook or bake something. We could park our car freely.

    The pool on the roof was the main attraction for us, also the view from the living room was fantastic. It even inspired us to cook our seafood diner every evening during our stay thanks to fully equipped kitchen in the apartment. Overall, we left the place with the best experience.

    Jardin do Mar it is a quiet and picturesque village. The accommodation is right in the center of the village. It is a house that is equipped with everything you could need for a stay. The staff is prompt when there are some problems. For example, the hair dryer broke, it was replaced the 2nd day. It is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped.

    The location is absolutely amazing, pretty close to the great Joe’s bar. Very well equiped kitchen, we found there everything we needed, the washing machine was much appreciated as well. The terrace is perfect :-). We needed to make a change in our booking and even when it was already booked and paid, they helped us no problem. Great value for money!

    Everything was great! Property was very clean, modern and spacious. We have much more than we actually needed. Kitchen was perfectly equipped, bed was big and very comfortable and we have also nice terrace. There was also no problem with finding parking spot in front of the house. Just perfect for anyone who is looking for apartment on Madeira:)

    Great location in one of the nicest villages of Madeira. Close to the market square (which allows you to bring your stuff by car/taxi, quite a rare case for the pedestrians' village of Jardim do Mar). Exceptionally comfortable outdoor spaces allow you to have meals outdoors even in rainy conditions. A lot of outdoor territories were appreciated by kids as well. Well-equipped kitchen. Also, the hosts were very supportive, not only in flat-related issues.
