The room was very new and clean. There was an elevator and facilities for drinking water (warm or cold). The bathroom was also very clean and had warm water. Relatively close to the train station (about 1 train stop from HSR).

The hostel is very clean and has a great common room to hang out. The staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend you to take the Exit 9 (beware it has only stairs no escalator) when you arrive at Formosa Boulevard. The nightmarket is also around the corner.

I love this hostel so much! It has the best view of Kaohsiung city from the common area. One of the best hostels in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, it is conveniently located in the heart of the city with easy access to public transportation, night markets, bars, shops, 7/11 and restaurants in walking distance. The MRT Formosa Boulevard Station (Exit 1) is just opposite to the hostel. The dorm room I had was very clean and the curtains around the beds provided privacy. You also had lockers to keep your stuff, though it could have been a bit bigger. But it hardly mattered to me. The AC inside the room was super cold. However, the beds were soft and comfy (love that the comforters are thick since the AC can cool the room real fast). There's a kitchen, laundry machine, comfortable lavatory area, slippers, drinking water, and continuous supply of Tea / coffee. Unlike most hostels where you have to go up and down the stairs, this hostel also has elevators. But the best part is, this hostel had a huge common area with the best view of Kaohsiung city. I could just sit there for hours and watch the world go by. Well, it might make you wonder why I wanted to just sit there instead of exploring the city. Well, the reason was the typhoon which brought the city to a standstill. But it was an amazing 3-night stays and I would definitely stay here if I have the opportunity to come back to Kaohsiung again.
