This place is located in such a remote area that we couldn’t help but wonder, “How could there be accommodation out here?” (Though, that’s quite common in Tasmania!) We stayed here for one night on our way from Hobart to Lake Dove, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, it wasn’t scary at all—probably because it was fully booked. We were warmly welcomed by the very kind Gloria, and you could feel the owner’s thoughtful touches throughout the property. There was a washing machine inside our unit, and a high-performance dryer available in the shared laundry. The fireplace worked wonderfully, keeping us warm and cozy, and at night, we were lucky enough to see the Milky Way. It was a night we will long for, for the rest of our lives.

Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village offers self-contained accommodation, nestled in a rainforest setting with native wildlife throughout the property.

All chalets include a well-equipped kitchenette, dining area, lounge area and bathroom. Each is fully insulated with double glazed windows and electric heating. Car parking at the door is provided. The distance from the national park is unbelievable. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and can spend time in it in the evenings. The jacuzzi was so much fun!

Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded cabins on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. It provides convenient, self-catering facilities and is a 5-minute drive from the park’s entrance.

Each of the unique cabins at Cradle Mountain Highlanders has cosy interiors, including a fireplace. All cabins are lined with beautiful Tasmanian timber and most cabins have full kitchen facilities. Some units have a luxurious spa bath and mountain views. Very cosy and quiet. The firewood place was very nice and useful to keep the place warm. There is also a heater that helps the place staying warm. Well equipped kitchen, although I could not know how to use the oven. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, so just ask. I really appreciated having small light points, helping to the sense of relaxing.

Towels and bed linen are offered in the apartment. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Spotlessly and attractively presented. Very spacious and comfortable. Quiet, peaceful location and well positioned. Easy parking and access. Just fabulous really. Even the neighbours were friendly. The washing machine and dryer were very welcome.

Highly recommend this accommodation as it is conveniently located to everything, extremely comfortable and yet away from the crowds. The beds were luxurious and little touches like bath salts for the bath were appreciated. Larissa even bought a coffee plunger to make me happy. I reckon this is the pick if you are looking for 2 bedrooms. Larissa was a superb hostess and answered my questions without delay. Fabulous having a bathroom upstairs as well as a toilet downstairs. We couldn’t ask for more in townhouse accommodation.

Minimal road noise from the highway on a Friday evening, a quiet stay. Facilities are top notch, I had a fantastic 2 nights at Rail Trail Retreat cycling and running and getting out of the noise of Launceston. Comfy bed, Country Road toweling, thoughtful extras in the kitchen.

At the holiday home, every unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. Pear cottage was superb. It is just delightful, well-appointed, and modern. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. Everything was nicely thought out, which made for a comfortable stay. The location was great and quiet.
