GREAT Location near the tropical forest preserves and the Sarapiqui River, right near the Best Chocolate Farm, where we also took a night hike, and just down the road from Aventuras del Sarapiqui (excellent whitewater rafting). It's a private house off the main road and I was worried about dogs barking as mentioned in some other reviews, but it was not a problem at all. It's a split level with two separate sleeping spaces, king bed in upstairs room and queen bed in the downstairs room, each having their own bathroom with showers. The main kitchen/dining area was great for preparing easy meals: rice and beans for dinners and fried egg sandwiches for breakfast. And best of all is our host, Maria who has been SO accommodating and friendly. We just message each other through WhatsApp (I use Google Translate to convert from her Spanish to my English). It's not a luxury hotel but instead a very artistically decorated two bedroom apartment and I highly recommend.

We loved the views from the property and the size of the house is great. Very reasonable price for the house and a great location with lots to do within driving distance. We loved the waterfalls and the gardens.

Wendy was really helpful, lots of advice and organised a great white water rafting trip. Extra for breakfast was worth it!

There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchenette complete with a fridge, a stovetop and kitchenware. The property has an outdoor dining area. Beautiful property. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the outdoor cooking area and we truly felt surrounded by the jungle. Lots of lovely touches within the property- water in a cooler/ fridge/ outdoor cooking area/ helpful booklet on surrounding area and lovely decor. The water stopped working which was not an issue as our hosts resolved the problem immediately we notified them.

Amazing place, house is luxurious and decorated with a good taste. Well equipped. You can feel that the owner has put a lot of heart into this place. Direct access to the river, you can even use kayaks. Nice veranda with hammocks to chill out and a barbecue place. Perfect place for a few days of peace and relax.

If you need budget accommodation, then this is definitely for you! There is a great big market nearby and many supermarkets, cafes, restaurants. It is very convenient to get the keys in the combination lock. The owner is very friendly and always in touch!
