I was super happy about the accommodation since it had everything for a pleasant stay. And it was super close to the beach and not so much in the crowded street. And the hospitality was also very satisfying.

Market and great coffee place were steps away with a few good restaurants only steps farther. As soon as we arrived, the host had a tour guide —Brandon Experience—come over to tell us about the options. Brandon gave us two great tours (morning canoe ride followed by national park) and arranged for our transportation to Arenal.

The owner is so helpful, and will ensure your transfer from La Pavona is seamless. Tour arrangement is also perfect, friendly and helpful. Go with it for a relaxed stay in a unique place. A convenient house, right in the middle of the village. Also, the sushi restaurant just around the corner (owned by the owner of this house) is excellent!

Excellent little place off "main street", only 6 rooms, quite the standard for the "hippie" place Tortuguero. Staff was exceptionally friendly, thank you Cooper and team ! They offered to put our rain soaked clothes in the dryer, we left for lunch, by the time we got back, it was waiting in our room and already folded ! The hosts, Oscar and Karen, were superbly welcoming and friendly. Our favourite stay in all of Costa Rica! Quiet clean rooms with comfortable beds, individual A/C in our room, private bathroom and good shower. Safe and private. Well-equipped kitchen and a delightful covered patio to relax. We spotted a variety of birds, iguana, and a far off monkey from there. Easy walk to stores, restaurants, the boat dock, and the Tortuguero National Park. Oscar has his on boat with a quiet trolling motor, and he gave us an early morning boat tour of the National Park canals. He’s wonderful guide at spotting wildlife- many birds, spider monkeys, caiman, lizards.
