Check-in was fast and efficient and the on-site parking is very secure at no extra charge. Everything in our room was new and clean, including a washer and dryer. The view from the 11th floor was spectacular both at night and during the day. This is hands-down our first choice for a hotel San Jose

Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only is situated in San José, within 7.5 km of Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and 10 km of Parque Diversiones. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is set 6 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park. I highly recommend this hostel! I stayed here three different times for a night, and every time it felt so welcoming – just like home. Everything is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot, and there’s even a TV with Disney+/Netflix/Prime… just perfect! The place is designed with so many thoughtful details: a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryers, shower products, extra blankets if needed… you really feel that everything has been thought of for the guests’ comfort. The staff has been incredibly kind and helpful – they even let me leave some of my belongings a couple of times, always with such friendliness and quick responses. The automated check-in system makes everything super easy as well. For me, it’s the perfect place to stay for a night or two before exploring the rest of Costa Rica. Sometimes people can’t be bothered to write reviews , however having such a wonderful stay with the fantastic staff and owners we feel obligated to try to put into words what a truly magnificent time we had at the Paradise Lodge Apartments. What a fantastic place and it all started each day with a wonderful breakfast. First a plate of fresh fruit picked right from the property, then a choice of omelet , scrambled eggs, sunny side up, or simple toast and jam made to order with a delicious side of rice and beans, fresh avocado, queso frito, and bacon. plus orange juice and delicious Costa Rican Coffee. From the moment we arrived the hospitality was excellent, taking our bags from the car to our super clean and spacious room and making sure we had everything we needed. The apartments are in side of a gated property which will give you a strong sense of security and safety, with ample parking very close to the rooms. The property is aptly named as it is truly a slice of paradise. From the little porch outside the rooms to the beautiful grounds and swimming pool every detail is spectacularly maintained. We wish we were able to spend more time on the property which I am sure we will do next time as we had some business to attend to on this trip so we weren’t able to enjoy the property as much as we would of liked. We did however find the time to explore the beautiful property including the shorter of the trails that go around the property. We just cant say enough about the fantastic time we had at this location. If your going to this area of Costa Rica stay at Paradise Lodge…. You wont regret it….

Providing a terrace with mountain views, this villa also provides guests with a flat-screen TV, a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave, a fridge and kitchenware, as well as 1 bathroom with a hot tub and free toiletries. The accommodation offers a fireplace. Very clean. Great hiking trails for those of us that wanted to go. Jacuzzi bath for those that didn't. Comfortable bed and couch. We had all we needed for cookware to cook for a group of 10. We didn't realize we couldn't use a credit card up there but Gravin came to the rescue and so we were able to get the food we needed at the little store there. Gravin was so accommodating and a great host! We can't wait to come back.

Calm, laid back family run place in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to barrio Escalante and city center.. wifi was good, breakfast was awesome, First time I've experienced dorm beds getting made everyday with clean bedsheets and towel! The garden area was a nice place to chill. The family was very humble and welcoming.. will definitely stay again.

Surprisingly quiet and in a nice location. We stayed there three times ..the night we arrived and two other times between flights to different places. The staff were very kind.
