Our flight got delayed, and they were waiting for us at the pier to help us with our bags and find our way late at night. They answer all our questions about activities, prices, and directions. We really enjoyed our stay at FADL KATO, with a beautiful location over looking the Nile, and a very accommodating host who helped us a lot by recommending restaurants and places to go to on the island and booked for us transportation to Abu Simbel and other trips. Would really recommend the place.

Abu is helpful and very diligent Egyption YOUNG guy(not by his age), he do help us a lot for the trip, and information. He has a really lovely personality and really care about everyone a lot. It's like if you want to interact with local people but not only see the touristy places and leave, You guys must be here! Very very good cultural experience! I just feel so pity like we stay here for only one night and speak to our landlord only two times. Crying!!!!! Cry!!!!

If you are planning a trip to Aswan, Elephantine Island on the Nile , La Terrace Aswan is the guest house you NEED to stay at. The house is so lovely and spotlessly clean. The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. Mohammad, thank you for being the perfect host in your gorgeous house. Best of luck to you.

We arrived late in evening,and they waited for us on airport,what was really helpful.Short ride on the boat and we arrived.It is located right on the river Nile,with beautiful views..Staying here was so relaxing and peaceful,food was excellent with amazing breakfast and really good coffee.Just few steps from the 2 really good restaurants,and ferry. Amazing experience filled with Egyptian cuisine and culture.. We will be back 😊❤️

Incredible place, a short walk from the ferry. It's clean, spacious, and cosy. Hot water, AC, strong wifi, gentle lighting, that really long pillow in the bed, and great views of the Nile. The hosts are wonderful and kind, they checked in on me, showed me around, and helped me book my trips around Aswan. The people they sent me with on the trips (locals from the area) were really amazing as well. The island is great and the people are really welcoming. I definitely want to come back, I'm just afraid I might never leave the second time around.

Karim the owner was waiting for us at midnight for the boat ride to the guest house (part of the service) and offered us a free room upgrade. He arranged tours and car, transfer from airport at good rates. Nice rooms and a sunny terrace for breakfast. The property is located in a quiet and safe area (as the rest of the Island is). Free access to kitchen and washing machine. Overall, the guesthouse is great value for money. Karim his friend Mohamed the rest of the family are lovely people, friendly and helpful. New larger rooms will be ready shortly. - The area totally safe all day and night making it easier to find the guesthouse at least the first time. And this adds to the adventure - - - - The place is very clean, and everything in it is brand new. The design of the place is modern, and the treatment from the owners is very kind and welcoming—they greeted us with smiles and treated us so nicely. The food is also absolutely delicious. Honestly, I wished I could have tried their signature dish, which is molokhia with eggs, but I missed out this time—maybe next time! As for the location, it's great and even offers a boat to Aswan if needed. They also have a very beautiful rooftop, especially in the morning when the ambiance is amazing. The only issue is that the view of the Nile is partially blocked, but overall, the experience is wonderful and the place is well worth visiting, especially because of the friendly people."
