Gernika Suites by Aldori - New Opening!! ligger i Guernica, 32 km fra Catedral de Santiago og 32 km fra Estación de Abando Indalecio Prieto. Der er gratis wi-fioveralt. exhausted after travel to arrive we accessed this cool, comfortable apartment. Just like the pictures and so clean. Would stay again. It is a walk to town, but a lovely one Just off the bus stop from Bilbao. A significant walk from the train. Didn't have a chance to see if the kitchen is outfitted...this is the land of tapas/cafe culture so we were out for all meals/drinks.

Altzoko Ostatua ligger i Alzo, 31 km fra La Concha Promenade. Her en have og en bar samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. What a gem of a place! The hotel looked very traditional and ordinary from the outside, but the bedroom was very modern, a good size with really comfortable beds and a lovely big en-suite shower room. There is a lift to the upper floors. We were welcomed warmly in Spanish as we don't speak Basque, and the lady (manager? owner?) only had a few words of English. We decided to eat at their restaurant, and were greeted by name by the chef/owner, and the waiter was excellent, very friendly and pacient, even though the restaurant was quite busy. A first for us: we could choose our own time for breakfast which was served in the bar. What a lovely experience in a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings.
