Set in Épernay, near Moët et Chandon House, Mercier Champagne House and Georges Cartier Champagne House, La Petalerie features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a bar and a garden. Everything from initial contact to departure was flawless. Breakfast in their garden was the perfect way to start the day. Location was a convenient walk to downtown & the Champagne house. Easy eight minute walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning & other nearby grocery stores carrying all the essentials.

The apartments are all part of a "senior residence" that has just opened, so everything was brand new. Rooms are very spacious and well lit, street parking (paying but inexpensive, 1,5€/h) was always easy around the block.

Exceptional apartment - clean, very spacious, tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped (even a mechanical orange juicer with oranges provided so that you can have fresh orange juice for breakfast!). Easy, free nearby parking. On the ramparts, 5 minutes on foot to the town centre or Diderot museum. A few notes that may be helpful: - If entering at night, have a torch or your mobile handy as the nearest light switch to the door is quite a way in. - Note the wifi code before you go in as our GSM signal was weak inside and so you need the wifi (thick walls!) - The smaller room with a single bed gives off one of the doubles and there is no door or closing. - There is another gite above (with its own entrance) so don’t be surprised if you hear movement upstairs - Remember some change for the tourist tax

We stayed over travelling from the alps to Calais. Very close to the autoroute, but also in a quiet village so ideal location. It was very comfortable, clean and stylishly decorated inside. The host was very helpful and friendly throughout the booking. Also provided a lovely breakfast (small extra cost). Beds were very comfortable. All in a perfect stop over - and would be a great place to stay for longer.

It was a beautiful surprise to find such comfort and beauty behind a less than beautiful exterior. We loved the decor and the feel of the place and I was so grab for a piece of fresh fruit and my husband reluctantly accepted the beer- not believing he wasn’t going to be charged a whole lot extra for it. We didn’t get to meet the host but for only one night this was not necessary and the key pick up etc was very obvious and simple to follow. We also loved our pizza at the pizzeria below! Double bonus!

Breakfast was excellent, French style. We missed cereals, but that is a personal thing of course. Interior is really very nice. We had large room for 4 people with bathroom 'in' it. Was really special and nice. Very nice, cosy village. I made a beautiful morning walk through the surrounding fields. Great books to read there on the surroundings, the war and its small stories (noted by the owner!), the interior design,... Great location; close to Epernay and Reims.

The gardens were wonderful and in summer you can dine outside. The very spacious bathroom was excellent with a great shower. There is a compact kitchen easily up to cooking a meal. There is a lobby where dogs can sleep as it is clearly forbidden to let them in the bedroom. Breakfast was served in Christine’s dining room.
