Greatest place I stayed at in Indonesia by far, the staff was out of this world, its a small place close to Boa Beach (the best surf I've ever seen). The staff was helpful in every way (renting bike, restaurant recommendations). Wifi was actually fast unexpectedly, but due to storms electricity and service can shutdown in the entire area, but that's not their fault. I think this is the best place in Rote if you are going to surf or explore the island. I will be back some day.

What a beautiful home - we loved waking up to the ocean and being able to cook our own meals. The kitchen is new and well-stocked. There are lots of lovely little sitting spots and the beds are really comfy. The beach out front is magnificent for rote - great for swimming and snorkelling. We’ll be back!

The villa is amazing with a wonderful sunset view. But most of all, the host (Laurent) is a wonderful person! He made us a delicious diner and afterward we had some drinks together. We forgot our camera (with our honeymoon photos) at the villa, which we noticed in Labuan Bajo an hour before our taxi would bring us to the airport. Laurent rushed to the hotel to give us our camera back on time. I'm so grateful! This shows the dedication he has to care for his guests. Thanks Laurent for everything 🙏

We had an amazing time staying with Laurent. The house is beautiful and very well decorated, with an incredible open view across the jungle especially the amazing sunsets. We could wake up to the sound of the birds singing in the morning and it's the perfect place to just rest and read in the middle of nature. Laurent made us some lovely food for lunch and dinner including an incredible fish soup and the pancakes for breakfast were exceptional! Nothing to complain about and we would definitely come back again. He said they will have WiFi later this year, but actually it's the perfect place to digital detox....just make sure you bring some books! He can arrange day trips to waterfalls etc., but we chose to just relax at the house. There are lots of comfy places to sit or lie around. Recommend to use Laurent's driver for transfer as the approach road is a little tricky but no issue for his driver (there are plans to pave the road ).
