The close proximity to the amazing geological sites was a real bonus. The laundry facilities were excellent and we made good use of them.

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

Everything about this homestay was amazing, the location ,bird sanctuary, amazing colours of the plants all around the house, Beautifully decorated inside and out, you could not but love staying in this beautiful homestay, We had beautiful freshly baked bread waiting when we arrived, This is a must stay if you are visiting Myvatn, There was 4 of us staying and we all loved loved it, Lovely balcony.

Excellent location being proximal to the Nature Baths and crater. The accommodation was very clean and spacious. Great pillows and duvets. We loved our time there and did not want to go!

At Eldá Guesthouse you will find a garden, a common dining room and a shared kitchen. The area around the lake is known for its volcanic landscape and possibility to see 15 different duck species. Other activities in the area include cycling and hiking. The staff is very helpful since we came later than 8:00 pm but we got all information/help we need. The room is clean and quiet. The location is good that is close to the lake Myvatn and also the camp-site where my friend stayed. Good value.

We loved all the interesting old pieces that decorated the home along with the homemade crafts for sale. This is an old building that has been repurposed so it’s unique.

Kitchen very nice and came in very handy . We even had a barbeque outside Location is amazing . You have a beautiful view of the lake and church Bathroom very clean and beautiful I was amazed by how much you can achieve in that small cottage . And everything is neat and carefully done . The cottage is a little gem near lake Myvatn. And I would have stayed longer if possible . It is quite an expensive place but you also get a high-quality cottage in a beautiful location
