It is located on a cliff in a quiet place. Yes you have neighbours but you will only see/hear them at the front of the house. The backside looks out over the sea. Great spot to see the northern lights. As with many apartments you don't see the host throughout your stay. I like that. Your door opens with a code. All basic necessities can be found in the kitchen, also a series of books to read and a telescope to watch the stars or birds, boats at sea. The apartment is very spacious with many places to sit. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night. I would love to come back and stay for a week and settle on the couch with a book :-)

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Amazing views of a lake, church, and horses. We were also greeted by and guarded by the resident dog that my kids loved!

Sodulsholt Cottages offer self-catering cottages in Sodulsholt and views of the surrounding landscape. Free WiFi is available. Beautiful cabin in a great location to access Snaefellsnes peninsula’s sites. Cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
