Péninsula Suites is simply magical. The view is absolutely breathtaking — we stayed in Suite 1, which I truly believe offers the best view I’ve ever seen. Being there felt like stepping out of this world. It’s the perfect place to disconnect completely and reconnect with nature, the sea, and even the sound of the seagulls. I’ve never felt so light, so peaceful, so far away from the noise of everyday life. The interior is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail. Every material is top quality — even the kitchen towels and bed linens. The lighting, the layout — everything has been so thoughtfully curated. I’m 100% coming back, and next time for a longer stay. This is, without a doubt, the best place I’ve ever been. I recommend, recommend, and recommend again!

It is very well equipped and there was even a supply of basics (oil, pasta, etc) that I assume had been left behind by other renters. There were a couple of restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. Highly recommended.

The hosts messaged us with directions and instructions and they seemed very friendly. Fully equipped kitchen. We had a great night at the cottage and were able to see the northern lights. The drive to the cottage is scenic. We would definitely come back!

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Everything! the host was communicative and so accommodating, allowing us to check in early with the bad weather conditions.

If you want to interact with owners, see horses, ride them or similar, just ask. Here you will find tranquility, peace and untuched true nature. Explore the west fjord of peninsula, it is worth it!! We did our shopping in Borgarnes, Bonus market, which is 50 km away if you are coming from Rejkjavik direction. Watch out because there is no closer market. We are only sorry that we were not able to see the aurora borealis due to the clouds. Excellent equipment of the house, warm and cozy, equiped with everything you need so that you don't have to worry about anything for a few days. Ideal for a family with two children, warm, very clean with all equipment and parking in front of the house. There are 3 other cottages next door, but you have enough peace and privacy.
