This is literally the house of waleed’s grandfather in the old village of Dana, which he renovated as a small hotel. The generosity and hospitality and warmth of the family is what makes it so special — I stayed only one night but left with so many wonderful memories. I speak some Arabic, so my particular experience may have been extra special—but I feel like anyone with a heart will feel at home. My day in Dana was honestly the highlight of my time in Jordan—not as flashy as Petra or wadi rum, but absolutely stunning and full of genuine and wonderful people. It is rustic — so if you really need a modern style hotel, this is not your place. But it was cozy and comfortable and warm and wonderful; what more could I hope for?

Great and friendly host. I would highly recommend it and if I will ever again be in Petra I will book it again. A little bit off city, but if you have a rent-a-car, it´s a great position and a very calm street. Host is great and very helpful.

Mohammed made our stay really special! The place had an amazing view and the breakfast was maybe the best we had so far.

An excellent place to relax and wind down, especially after a day out at Petra. Will definitely come back to stay!

He was in touch in whatsapp and was always there for any assistance. Breakfast and lunch are available on request. Location is close to petra visitor center, ~5 minutes by car. Rooms are spacious, clean. Kitchen is well equipped if we want to cook our own food. Free car parking is available within the premises. Host explained us about trekking in petra and gave us tips to complete it faster. Went all our to even check with visitor center if shuttle bus is available to take us to little petra and gave us advance information of the Govt 4 wheel vehicle which used to take tourists inside.

You must ask him for tips regarding Petra, so definitely stay there BEFORE going to Petra. His tips totally made our day in Petra, like three times better. All clean, we were served good dinner and breakfast.

The hotel has everything you need including a refrigerator, washing machine, and huge TV.
