Cosy & located on a nostalgic quiet street. Walking distance to the river and the attractions to the town. Host, Mr Masa was most kind and helpful.

It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, everything in the house was beautifully done. The outdoor bath and private little garden were a huge bonus. The location was excellent, a short walk to where we wanted to go but a very quiet area.

We arrived after our chilly hike along the trail to a very warm and inviting traditional home. It was stocked with tea, coffee and drinks in the fridge, as well as some snacks. There were so many different areas to sit and relax in the home, we felt soo welcome and at home we did not want to leave. This was a stark contrast to our Air bnb we had in Kyoto where we felt we could not relax or enjoy the property. The sleepy town was fun to explore, the cafe next door was also very warm and welcoming filled with music and warmth. And the beds!! Being 6 months pregnant I was a little worried about the traditional futons on the floor but it was the best sleep I has the whole 3 weeks in Japan. I also appreciated the number of chairs for me to sit in. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, we wish we could have stayed longer.

The whole apartment is perfect and very nice. The host arranged every small thing very carefully. Very beautiful home. Everything is picture-perfect. There is a small kitchen and fridge which you can use. There is an O2 box also which looked fascinating. However, as my stay was very short, so I didn't have time to use it. A very large bedroom is on the 2nd floor. It has 1 double bed and 2 single beds, perfect for a family trip.

The outdoor grill got plenty of use for hida beef family dinners. The tatami bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The kids loved playing in the small backyard.
