Situated in Awaji in the Hyogo region, 古民家ゲストハウス CHACHACHA AWAJI has a garden. It is set 42 km from Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and provides a shared kitchen. Dinner was a plate of different local produce, simple but very tasty, easily the best meal we had on the island.

For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. I love the ocean in front of the house and farm. Very old but clean house with very good facilities and wide room. One of my best memories of this year stay in Japan.

Staying here was the highlight of our Japan trip, the city of Kinosakionsen is really charming and the Natur around it really worth a visit. Yuku is the best host! From picking us up at the at the train station to renting us some Bikes (to get into town) to driving us back to the station at 06:40 in the morning, we’re really thankful for her. The stay itself was comfortable and clean, it really was like staying at a friends place, the atmosphere was really relaxed and casual. If we ever come back we‘ll stay here again! Situated in Takeno, a lovely fishing town only 15 minutes by train from Kinosaki Onsen (and a lot less crowded), the guesthouse is litteraly a few steps away from the most beautiful beach we saw in Japan. Inside, everything is made to make you feel at home. Everything is clean, beaufiful and smells good. The host speaks good english and is very helpful. This family guesthouse is our best discovery during our trip and we highly recommend it.
