Came to Osaka to see expo 2025, it's a pitty that I couldn't enjoy the hotel to the fullest, because expo took 5 days out of my 7 nights stay. Location of the hotel is perfect, near you can find Tenoji zoo, Tsutenkaku tower with 360° view at a hight of 120 meters, shinsekai market. The hotel room itself is huge even for european standart, all the commodities are present, even washing machine, that helps a lot during long stay and a sunny summer in Japan. All the personal at the reception was very friendly and helpful with all the request I had during the stay. This was my 7th hotel in Japan and this is by far was my favorite stay. P.s. it was also nice to have a smoking area at the corner from the hotel, because it is hard to find smoking places for tourists

We also liked the small kitchen and the balcony with a direct view on the river.

Featuring a garden, a shared lounge as well as a terrace, MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo is located in the centre of Kyoto, 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.3 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto. Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and were outstanding! Thank you! The neighbourhood is quieter than the main tourist area and not very difficult to get around. We took buses, the metro, and walked. But the best transport were the bicycles we hired from a bike store across the street. It was fast, fun and safe to ride around Kyoto on bicycles like a local! The hotel has a few bike parking spaces which was very convenient. The laundry room in the hotel was great and had enough machines and a money machine to exchange bills for 100yen coins. The hotel has a small exercise room which is useful. The room was more spacious than expected, very clean with everything that we needed. The windows could be opened for fresh air when needed. There is a good sized grocery store almost opposite the hotel with fresh food and most products you’d require. We would definitely return to this Mimaru!
