This is just one train stop from Aso station, so provides easy access to Mt. Aso and the surrounding area. The kitchen is fully equipped (cutlery, pans, condiments, etc) and there is a small grocery store nearby to buy ingredients. Rooms are large, and there is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a japanese - style bathroom. The piano in the living room was a great and unexpected bonus. We were passing through and only stayed one night, but it would have been a great base to explore the Aso area and we would have loved to stay for longer.

The house is very beautiful, well renovated with very good taste.Three toilets but only one bathroom.The owner and the staff are very kind and full of service mind. We have barbecue with karaoke , singing and dancing with the best audio equipment..The owner well prepared everything for our group including the heater on the floor. We all very appreciated for the hospitality, will come back again.

A cozy cottage was waiting for us: with heating on, beautifully furnished to the smallest details, very clean, very well equipped, comfortable. Just perfect. Due to an accident with a broken car window, we had a pleasure to meet the host. He helped us complete the formalities, secured the car for the rest of our journey and made sure that the remnants of glass wouldn’t have hurt anyone or anything. It is difficult to express how grateful we are and we regret that we cannot give a higher rating

Really nice atmosphere and run by a very kind host who helped us get to and from the train station. Comes with all the facilities you need including a washing machine. Do make sure you have a car when you go here, we did not have one and it made some travel to the volcano a bit challenging (though taxi / hitchhiking did the trick)

Stunning view from the room! It was -3°C when I woke up at 7:30am, so cold and I decided to go back to sleep... but when I drew the curtain and looked outside, the scenery was amazing that I immediately grabbed my coat and gloves to take some pictures outside. The room itself was spacious if you're only traveling with your partner, it would be packed if you're a group of 3 to 4. Very clean and cozy. Everyone mentioned the breakfast so we ordered it too! Self-grown vegetables, homemade jam and yogurt... even the honey was from their own beebox! So healthy and natural food... We were truly amazed.
