Great location near the ferry. Property is well equipped with kitchen and laundry facilities. Very good value for money for a group. Was very clean and spacious. Host was very responsive to questions.

The holiday home was a wonderful experience of traditional life in Japan. It was warm and had its own kitchenette. The bathroom was very unique. The host was very kind and we really enjoyed our stay. It had great common areas and delicious meals supplied. We also enjoyed the cultural activity in the evening.

Onsen, meals provided, English speaking staff, authentic Japanese style, location, heating, common area with games, computer and instruments. Communal kitchen. Great showers.

We had a standard Japanese room with tatami room for two, I liked sink in the room. This was my 3rd visit of this place (last time in 2019) and I found few improvements here - finally very nice lobby was utilized for selling of some local handmade goods, kitchen was refurnished and not only breakfast, but also dinner was provided (simple but good).

It was easy to find, instructions for check in were very clear and owners responded promptly to any queries. The kitchen had the basic necessities to cook breakfast and the fridge was big. It was bigger than I had expected.

The guest house is located in an old Japanese-styled building, which is very and very beautiful, but, as expected in a guest house, limits it from some of the amenities. Even though there is no en-suite bathroom, there are two toilet locations, a communal shower, and a common kitchen with many things in it, including breakfast and dinner as a part of your stay price. The place also has an inner garden with occasional deer. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, available all day.

We are a family with three teenage-kids from germany and had a great stay. Ellen and Yo made us feel like home. They picked us up from the station so we didn't had to walk with the luggage - the way to the house is not far but a bit hilly. We could use the kitchen and the living room was a common place for everybody. Ellen and Yo had good hints for our sightseeing trips and were very helpful and just great hosts.

The room had great views and was spacious. The futons were comfortable. The personnel was really kind and helpful, giving tips for where to go in the island and nice restaurants. The ryokan has a two onsens you can book for free for one hour, one of them with a nice view to a small garden, really nice. There is a kitchen where you can cook yourself which is big and a nice common area. We could not enjoy the garden as we stayed only one night. I would stay here again. Good value for the money spent.

BEST guesthouse in Japan, so far! Beautiful and huge spaces (collective kitchen, living room, entrance, big windows with view on the garden). The dormitory was super clean and well organized (just 4 beds). Possibility to privatize a "onsen" bath. Many books and games. Very kind and helpful welcoming (in English!). Good vibes! Perfect location. Totally worth it for 1 or 2 nights on Miyajima.
