It's in a nice quiet neighborhood. 5. The owners, Peng and Oscar, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They were very friendly and genuinely helpful, when I had some special requests. I couldn't have asked for nicer property owners!

With a view of Gujo Hachiman castle from the upstairs window, this house and town are simply great. Quiet, comfortable, within walking distance of what you come here to see. The owner, Masahiro-San, will treat you like family, and his advice about what to see and where to eat is spot on. If you cannot carry your suitcase up the steps to the upper floor, you can bring the futons downstairs and sleep on the heated floor. We came here with another couple and we all loved this house and Gujo. Ask Masa-San to pick you up at the station, if he can he will! The great reviews are very deserving, if you like Japanese style living you will like Nomad Inn. The 6 am. temple bell will remind you every morning what another world it is here!

It has everything you might need. The Host Takashi san is also very nice and has a massive collection of Vinyls that you can borrow and listen to. The neighborhood is quiet and there are Restaurants and Shops within Walking distance. Also the JR Station is 5 minutes away so you can get easily to the Nakasendo Trail. We would recommend staying in the guesthouse.
