This is a really great place to stay right in the old part of Mombasa which is very atmospheric. It is comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet. We also felt very safe walking around even in the evening. Fatima was a wonderful and kind host, she helped me find a couple of shops in the old town to do some.errands and showed us the market, she went out of her way bearing in mind it is Ramadan at the moment. If we come back to Mombasa we would stay here again for sure, it was such a good experience.

The house is just off the main beach road, but once you walk through the main gate, it is quiet and you don’t hear the road noise. Very peaceful. The apartment was exceptionally clean, bedroom and living area were large. Netflix available. Internet worked well. Pool was clean and very refreshing

The staff was very helpful and we had great communication Daniele. The pool was always clean and the rooms were cleaned daily, and they were very clean. Also the breakfast was good, made everything we wanted to eat.

On arrival Rosemary kindly received me and showed me to my room, around the facilities, and how to access the beach from the compound. Esther, the assistant manager was really the star of the show. She offered me delicious lunch 😋. She helped me out with how to navigate the local transportation to get to the Likono Ferry to Mombasa after check-out, even organized a TukTuk to come pick me up to take me to the local bus. She really went above and beyond The room was as advertised and clean, with Smart TV and internet access. Full kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is also brought to your toom 😊. I will stay here again on my next trip to Mombasa. Highly recommended.

Faith was very helpful and always prompt with communications, the staff are all so lovely and hardworking!!

We had an incredible time and can't recommend this venue enough! From the welcoming security to the delicious food and stunning location, everything was perfect. A special shoutout to the chef for the outstanding meals and to the wonderful Beatrice – her warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. The entire team is kind, attentive, and always ready to help. 100% would recommend!

The property is in a quiet location, around 900 metres from the nearest beach. Each apartment is comfortable, with fans in living and sleeping areas. Breakfast is slightly different each day and is filling. Wifi works very well and the pool is fabulous.

This really is the best place to stay on the Kenyan coast. It's not fancy, but it's a fantastic place in a perfect spot right next to a gorgeous stretch of beach. I live in Nairobi and have stayed at lots of places on the Kenyan coast, and the Watamu Beach Cottages is my favourite by far. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bungalow was beautiful and comfortable, and the viewpoints (where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean) were amazing. And the snack bar has great food! I'll definitely be back.
