Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

I have never stayed at a place that was so beautiful, so well staffed, so clean, and so perfectly matching the pictures I saw online. This room was exactly what I saw on booking , I don't have a single complaint about it. I extended my stay simply because this place was so perfect, and the staff was so nice and friendly. I mean to put this into perspective, they have a laundry machine on the property but it was broken and due for maintenance… So one of the staff members, took my clothes, and hand washed them for me?? another staff frequently offered me tea and coffee, at all hours of the day, and many nice and friendly chats about the city and about life and family. This place really touched me.

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with a truly lovely family. Their hospitality was exceptional—they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home throughout our visit. The house itself was clean, spacious, and newly renovated, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was perfect for us: in a nice and peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle, which made it an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious—fresh, generous, and thoughtfully prepared. On our second night, after we had dinner in town, the family even surprised us with a homemade dessert, which was incredibly kind and tasted amazing. This was honestly one of our best accommodations in Sri Lanka, and we’re very grateful for the experience. Highly recommended!

Even if it was a short stop, only one night, we were hosts like members of the family, with a welcoming juice made by our hosts that they are always available for everything you need. The apartment is comfy and clean, and the traditional sri lankian breakfast is simply yummy!! Thanks a lot for everything. You will always stay in our memory in this ama zing motorcycle tours throught this breathtaking country!! ❤️ we really hope to meet you again in the future🙏

Absolutely wonderful property in Anuradhapura. Clean and modern and a lovely spot to relax by the plunge pool. Also had a washing machine available to use which was a massive bonus! Very yummy Sri Lankan breakfasts each morning and we also had dinner one night there which was equally delicious! De Silva also provided great recommendations for tour guides around Anuradhapura. Would 100% stay here again!

The peaceful and serene environment adds to the charm, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring the sacred city. I particularly appreciated the air-conditioned rooms and well-maintained facilities. The kitchen was a bonus for those who prefer to cook their own meals. Overall, Shanthi Holiday Apartment is great value for money and perfect for families or groups looking for a comfortable stay in Anuradhapura.
