That was a fantastic stay in Barefoot Inn. We had everything we needed, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast served by Jeewani, the owner, who is a very friendly, attentive and a supportive host.

The homestay is in peaceful area surrounded by greeery just a short walk to the town centre & restaurants. The property appears to be fairly new. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable & colourful. Great AC and mosquito net provided. Bathroom was new, clean and had a hot shower hot & good pressure. Breakfast was nice. Sri Lankan style  pancakes, noddles & fruit. We also had to ammend our booking and the hosts were very accommodating. Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!
