We had everything we needed, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast served by Jeewani, the owner, who is a very friendly, attentive and a supportive host.

It feels as natural as returning to Sri Lanka and visiting Kandy to meet our own relatives. They have made us feel incredibly welcomed and warm over the years whenever Raj and Harissa had the opportunity to host us. The apartment is spacious enough to accommodate six people, and the rooms and bathrooms are better and larger than the images suggest. The amazing breakfast is always something to look forward to. Gave us a big cold bottle of water on arrival. The homestay is in peaceful area surrounded by greeery just a short walk to the town centre & restaurants. The property appears to be fairly new. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable & colourful. Great AC and mosquito net provided. Bathroom was new, clean and had a hot shower hot & good pressure. Breakfast was nice. Sri Lankan style  pancakes, noddles & fruit. We also had to ammend our booking and the hosts were very accommodating. Great value for money, would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!
