I already rated this place once and this was definitely the best place I've been in sri lanka, felt like home. Everything's new, clean, organized and peaceful. The bathroom is big, clean and awesome. The room is also big, with an awesome bed and the ac is so good in the hot southern area. They have a kitchen with things you can use to eat and make your good :) Wifi is also amazing there.

We had a very nice stay. The propery is unique and picturesque. The host was very helpful and arranged a perfect vegetarian breakfast for us. Must book when in unawatuna.

A beautiful private accommodation with stunning natural jungle scenery (with monkeys and wild peacocks) yet only a few minutes from the beach and main shopping and restaurant street. This was an exceptional property and the host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The two bedrooms have new wall split a/c units which work perfectly and provide for a cool retreat.

What a fantastic place to stay! Myself and my friend ended up staying for 9 nights as we fell in love with the place as soon as we got there 🙂 the whole family is so welcoming and friendly I couldn't recommend this place enough!

The accommodation is very centrally located and but also in a quiet side street. The beautifully furnished rooms, the green garden, the shared kitchen and the roof terrace immediately give you a wonderful feeling of being at home. Everything is super clean and is cleaned and aired daily. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. It quickly felt as if we had known them for years, as they really put so much heart into their work. We will definitely come back.

Great location. The room was not large but adequate for us. The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit omelet, toast, yogurt, and juice. Pool was an added bonus before breakfast and on return from day out. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. With only 4 rooms it is not crowded. 100% would stay again

The room was enormous, with all modern comforts, a very spacious bathroom, and a king-size bed that made our nights perfect. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and every detail showed how much care was put into making our stay special. We loved the complimentary boat ride to the stunning, endless beach – such a unique and beautiful experience. The boat safari on the river and through the mangroves, guided by Shen, was a real highlight and gave us lasting memories. Most of all, the hospitality of our hosts, Nuwan and his lovely wife, together with their attentive and friendly team, made us feel truly at home. Their warmth and kindness turned our stay into something exceptional. We highly recommend Amber House to anyone visiting Bentota – we cannot wait to come back!

And bathroom was exceptional. Really huge and spotless clean. The pool was very clean and refreshing. Breakfast spread was also good.
