It's close to the airport so it's great after your flight and before your flight as we did 😍 Staff very nice and welcoming. If you land in Colombo you should choose this one!

Close to the airport which was perfect as we landed late, the owner was so accommodating and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Breakfast was delicious and we had a good nights sleep, our travel was delayed so the owner let us stay late with no extra charge and made us tea - will be coming back if we have the chance!

We would definitely stay here again.

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Everything went very smoothly here, from the late night airport pick up we arranged via the hotel right up to our departure the next day. This made a big difference after a long day of travel with young children. The family villa was clean and comfortable with good AC and we had a great sleep. Loved waking up to the sound of birds singing in the morning. The breakfast of hoppers, local fruit etc was delicious. The well established and maintained gardens made for a relaxing setting and the kids enjoyed climbing up the treehouse, playing basketball etc. Everyone there was very friendly from the owner to the staff. Highly recommend Villa Shade.

Such a friendly family who were really nice to talk with, and they just wanted to ensure my stay was the best it could be. So many added extras, such as tooth brush and toothpaste, water, coffee/tea and even a light and tasty dinner and breakfast included in the price. It felt like staying in a 5 star hotel 😍 I will always stay whenever arriving and departing Sri Lanka due to the excellent accommodation and service as well as the convenience of being so close to the airport.
