Staff were very attentive and kind. One of the places I’ve felt the most comfortable staying in Sri Lanka. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting hiriketiya. Property is a few minutes walk from popular restaurants and a 15 min walk from hiriketiya beach making it quiet and peaceful for you to rest. If ever, you can also relax on the lounge chairs and your private pool. Overall, 10/10 and would stay here again.

It was incredible two weeks at the Tropical Villa! I love this place so much! Me and my husband enjoyed spending our vacation here. Huge thanks to the team who makes this villa such comfortable, cozy and safe place! We had a spacious and clean room on the first floor. It was so cool to wake up and go straight to the pool and then practice yoga in the yard. After that we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast (scramble, sausages, bacon, salad, fresh juice, fruits, bread toasts with butter and jam, coffee). Location is top. Ocean, fish point, different cafes, money exchange point, bus station are super close (2-5 minutes walk). Most of the surf spots and a big grocery store are about 10-15 minutes walk. Staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to talk to them and ask if you need something. One day we asked about a safari tour and the next day we got round trip transfer, guide and jeep (exploring the Yala Park).

Talalla Beach is about a 12-minute walk away along a relatively quiet street. Compared to other beaches on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, it is less crowded, making it a peaceful spot to relax.

The breakfasts were amazing! 5 minutes walk from a beach where you can swim with turtles, and a short tuktuk away from the main Dikwella town and Hirekitiya. Sahan also got us get on a direct bus to our next location which was really helpful!

It has really great amenities and a great location. It also has a beautiful, green outdoors area, and the kitchen is a huge bonus. The room was large and comfortable and perfect for working from. I really enjoyed my stay and would 100% recommend.

He is also very chatty, wants to share all his knowledge about Mirissa and goes out of his way to make sure you have a great time.

We truly enjoyed our time, and we're impressed by the kind and lovely family who even organized us a perfect Yala National Park tour. The outside living room style area was the best. At night, the fireflies were incredible.

A nice place to stay in Dikwella that is conveniently located just a minutes walk to Dikwella beach, a 20 min walk to hirikitiya beach, and just 7 minutes (2 mins scooter) to turtle beach (where you are pretty much guaranteed to see turtles). The bed was comfortable, I slept well, and the surrounding was local and natury. I would say one of the main things that stood out was the friendly hosts Nimal and his wife who went out of their way to ensure it was a comfortable stay for me. They provided helpful tips on what to see and do, also arranged a scooter (which was MUCH easier than having to deal with a rental company), and Nimal saved the day getting me to my bus to Ella (whilst risking life and limb in traffic to get me on it!). If that doesn't convince you to book a few nights, their delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast will!
