So many up close elephant encounters!, and helped us with transportation to them and away, making the whole experience care free and enjoyable. Also, they prepared a wonderful dinner and a delicious breakfast.

It’s more than a stay, it’s an experience. The location is simply breathtaking, tucked deep in the rainforest, high up on a hill, and only accessible via an an off-road drive in a 4x4 vehicle provided by the villa. We took a guided tour to the Sinharaja rainforest from the property, but just staying in the villa felt just as special. The food was exceptional, prepared on-site by local staff using fresh, organic local ingredients. Without a doubt, these were the best meals we had during our three weeks in Sri Lanka. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented in the most stunning setting. I highly recommend not only breakfasts, but also lunches and dinners in the villa, they were amazing. Our 6 and 9 years old enjoyed it as much as my wife and I did. The swimming pool is another highlight. Clear, well maintained, and offering a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. It was the perfect way to unwind and cool off after a rainforest hike. We arrived not knowing exactly what to expect, but the villa far exceeded our expectations. If we had more time before our flight back home, we would definitely extend our stay. An unforgettable experience.

The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious! Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and made with love. Whether it was traditional Sri Lankan cuisine or a customized meal, everything was prepared to perfection. The resort arranged the best safari tour for us! Our guide was knowledgeable, and we got to see elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, and even a leopard up close. It was an unforgettable adventure, made even better by the seamless organization from the resort. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Avian Garden. The room was perfect, the garden beautiful and the three Sri Lankan breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Usaj made sure we experienced very tasty Sri Lankan food. He arranged a Safari in the National Park with a local man who was very well informed concerning all the flora and fauna in the park. Avian Garden is in a discreet location, within easy walk of Udawalawe. As we walked by, the friendliness of the people in the nearby homes was very encouraging, as were the people in Udawalawe.
