The July - Boat & Co is a 4-star hotel located along the waterfront in Amsterdam's Houthaven district, ideal for both short and extended stays. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and so helpful! It’s in a more residential area so very quiet and I could sleep with the window open at night without being disturbed. The room/apartment was spacious and equipped with basic kitchenware in case I wanted to cook or heat up leftovers. Having a fridge in the room was invaluable, especially with the summer heat. Coming back to cold bottles of water in the fridge was amazing. The room has a thermostat so you can cool it down or heat it up around 3 degrees either way and it got actually cold! Can’t stress enough how amazing that is, because it was HUMID and so hot in Amsterdam this weekend. The hotel itself is pretty! The gym was stunning, and a lot of locals hang out by the docks to sun tan because it’s right on the water.

Reggie, the owner, was absolutely fantastic and made us feel extremely at home. He was very helpful at all times, and throughout our 10-day stay was always very responsive and nice. We also loved the room - it was very cosy and cute and exactly what we wanted. The vinyl player in the room and the general vibe of Grapelli was also brilliant.
