Aoraki Court Motel is a modern accommodation located in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. All units feature great views of surrounding mountains and Mount Sefton. Room was pretty new and very clean. The view was excellent. We could see the snowy mountains from the bedroom and the mountain range from just outside of our room. There is kitchen with necessary utensils.

I honestly was a bit put off by the word “motel” in the name, as that reminds me of some negative experiences from the past. But I was needlessly worried. Our stay at Alps was excellent. The room was big, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and the location is a short walk from a supermarket, several good restaurants and bars, and a great little coffee shop and cafe. And it’s only a 40 minute drive to Aoraki / Mt Cook National park. We opted to stay here rather than in Mt. Cook village, and we’re so glad we did. We much preferred the small town atmosphere of Twizel and the price point and quality of Alps Motel over what we saw in Mt. Cook village.

Area was very quiet with views of the mountains. Facilities were great (beds, shower, wifi, laundry). We definitely enjoyed staying here even for just 1 night. Love the small balcony as well. Would stay here again next time.

The apartment was great and was very spacious, one of the best we experienced. Nice to have a washer too. Large TV was nice for casting photos of our trip. Wanted to stay 2 nights here, but could not book the second night. Get your reservations in early! Sunset in the evening was great!

This property was stunning. We used it as a base for snowboarding Ohau and treble cone. The fireplace & hot tub were a massive hit for us after the hill. Star gazing was also impeccable from the back yard! We also checked out the lake nearby (recommended from the host in their welcome book) and had a quick cold water plunge. Whole experience was excellent. Comfy beds. We will be back.

Owner even switched on the heater before we arrive so it was such a comfort coming into a warm room as it was wet and cold outside. We love that the neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful and on a clear night, it was even possible to see the milky way. The unit is also equipped with a small kitchenette just nice for making some breakfast
