Set in Kailua-Kona, 2 km from Magic Sands Beach, The Bamboo House has a garden, parking on-site and rooms with free WiFi access. The house is beautiful, the furniture is very pretty, it’s in a quiet neighbourhood and there is only 2 rooms which is perfect if you want to avoid crowded hotels. We really felt at home. Sergio was very nice and helpful. All the equipments you can imagine are available: snorkelling equipment, bodyboard, sunshades, sunscreen etc.. We will tell our friends to go there and will come back with great pleasure!

Loved having access to a kitchen and Mychelle was super welcoming and even did our laundry (which was much needed after a week on Oahu first). We had our own bathroom to use and parking was included. It was a great place to set up home base for our stay on the big island.

Situated in North Hilo, 2.6 km from Kolekole Beach Park, Mahana House Country Inn features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. This 4-star inn offers a shared kitchen, a concierge service and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 22 km from The Pacific Tsunami Museum. We stayed at Mahana House for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly comfortable — the bed even had adjustable firmness settings! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and there was a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free. The cat was adorable, and for the first time, my husband changed his opinion about cats — he actually liked this one! Randy takes great care of the orchard, and the longans were delicious. We truly appreciated the peaceful surroundings — it was perfect for mindfulness and relaxation. We shared photos on Instagram, and so many of our friends are now planning to visit too! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Hilo town, so having a car is necessary — but totally worth it. This place is truly a dream stay. Highly recommended!
