We drove past on arrival and missed the apartment, but the host was very quick to answer messages, so we were soon in the right location. We had brought food with us for this one and the apartment had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Our host was so friendly and showed us round and then left us alone, I think she lives in the apartment next door. We walked about fifteen minutes to a restaurant that just did snacks, clearly the rules about smoking inside didn't seem to apply at the location, but the landlords (as it was more a pub really) were lovely and the location was beautiful, as was the walk to get there and the sun setting over the mountains on the way back. The rooms were comfortable with a nice shower and facilities for washing clothes, a must when travelling for a month. The bed was nice and comfy and the are was so lovely and quiet.

This is a charming small family-run hotel with a breathtaking view of the castle on the hill, it’s absolutely gorgeous! If rooms with a view are available, definitely book one. Even if not, you can still enjoy the view from the breakfast restaurant or the terrace. The owner is very kind, and we feel everything in this hotel is done with care and attention to detail. Everything is spotless, not a speck of dust, and even the taps, handles, and cutlery are polished. The bathroom is spacious and practical, with space for cosmetics, which is rare. The room also had a tea station, plus fresh fruit and cookies, such a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing. Usually in small hotels it’s pretty simple, but here it was good and varied – with red fish, berries, and everything tasted great.

The apartment was great! All windows were to the stream side- perfect natural white noise from running water. We slept with all windows open and had a wonderful night rest! Big balconies and safe for children. Apartment was worth even more than 10 scores! The location is wonderful: nice mountain Hochkonig views and many attractions, wonderful locations are quite nearby. Totally recommend for families. You can get a baby crib and high-chair if You need. Still dreaming about coming back there again! <3
