I loved this place but it does require the added expense of paying for a rental car. The kitchen was very well stocked and the space was really nice. Love to be by the animals although it did smell if the windows were left open to let the place cool down at night. It wasn't a horrible smell or anything, but there were issues with those who have certain allergies. Fans would have been helpful since it got a bit hot in the bedrooms at night. It was a beautiful location though and very nice to be able to walk around the property!

Hotel Tannenhof is nestled at the foot of stunning hills in Lechaschau, and yet is just a short walk from the center of Reutte. A rich and healthy breakfast is available every morning.

The place was very relaxing, very clean, staff was incredibly nice, food can be easily ordered from town and the breakfast is simple but definitely enough and so nicely set up (including some very very cute cups and plates)

We came for a quick one night stay after visiting Germany. It was beautiful and Edith was very hospitable and pleasant!!! I would definitely recommend this spot!

This is the most gorgeous setting of all the hotels during my month long Europe vacation! The hotel is decorated perfectly for the beautiful mountain setting. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing, so glad we included them in our stay. It was nice after a day of hiking to know we didn't have to look for a place for dinner - our hotel had probably the best option around for miles! The staff was extremely helpful for hiking and adventure suggestions also.

We had a wonderful time at the property! It was the perfect place for our family (six adults). The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to enjoy breakfasts around the kitchen table and dinners on the well-appointed patio. An amenity we did not expect - there was an assortment of wines, beers, and other refreshments available for purchase which was especially nice on the evening of our arrival. On our second evening there was an issue with not having hot water - apparently the boiler was having technical difficulties. We emailed the owners at 22:30, and by 9:30 the next morning the technician had already been there to fix the issue. The owner's responsiveness was impressive which we so appreciated! The location is amazingly situated - about 25 minutes from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau (just over the border in Germany) and only about 10 minutes from Ehrenberg castle, fortress, and ruins. Our time at the chalet was magical - thank you to the owners and our host Gerda!
