Beautiful property (located between Vienna and Graz) in the process of being slowly and carefully refurbished by the owner. We didn’t know the building’s history (google it!) so that was a bonus. We stayed for nearly 10 days in some of the worst weather that the region has ever experienced (with flooding and storm-damaged roads and properties). Aside from a quickly resolved roof leak, we were safe and cozy indoors. And when the weather turned pleasant about half way through our vacation, we could enjoy wonderful walking and tourist excursions in the nearby landscape and farther-flung towns. We have already recommended the property to others and would return!

Offering free WiFi and free use of its sauna, Landhaus Blauer Spatz is located in Reichenau an der Rax, only 5-minute drive from the Rax Cable Car. It features a quiet garden with a sun terrace.

Our apartment was very spacious and comfortable, having all amenities you might need - washer and dryer, dishwasher, sauna in the garden (extra towels too), and even a ping pong table. Location is perfect in the middle of Reichenau, few minutes walk there is a Billa and a Spar, and opposite the road, a lovely pizzeria offering a good selection.

The house is at a very good location for those who plan hiking in the mountains. The apartment was clean, lots of space, well furnished, great lookout onto the mountain. Host was very friendly, provided a lot of details about the possibilities and gave some ideas how to spend time. Multiple restaurants at walking distance.

Exactly as pictured, fabulous breakfast, wonderful staff at both locations (sister hotels) who were so hospitable and welcoming. Access to the spa facilites was a great bonus!

The host was nice. The room and bathroom was very clean. There was also a kettle and a fridge in the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

Upon arrival, the friendly staff welcomed us in a very quick manner, which was much appreciated. Cutlery, towels and washing necessities were also provided. The overall vibe was very peaceful and homely, a perfect reflection of the picturesque surroundings. I should also point out the nearby BILLA, which was a massive plus and saved us in the morning. Ski slopes are very close, and the nearby railway is like a dream come true for rail fans, though the astonishing scenery makes it a pleasure for hikers as well.

2 minutes after self-checkin I already knew this was going to be a 10/10 experience. Great location, nice quiet room with cozy furniture, comfy beds, easy parking, the host family is very friendly and professional, excellent breakfast, what else can you wish for. A great place to start your adventures around Semmering whether that's skiing, hiking, cycling, etc. Will definitely go back!

Roomy apartment on the main road litterally 5 mins from the Gondola. Host was very friendly and made sure that we're confortable and have everything we need. There was plenty of room in the apartment, comfy beds, ski depot and everything you need.
