Great Gasthaus with very friendly and accommodating owners. Breakfast was superb! The location is perfect for exploring different national parks in the Bavarian forest. We would definitely recommend Pension Schatzkisterl!

I would estimate 10+ . The hosts are very friendly, they are always ready to help if you have any questions or difficulties. The the apartments´payment includes costs for the culture parks visits, which is very cheap as compared to the tickets bought directly at the parks. The rest is perfect for families with children and dogs. I am planning to come here on winter season with my family. Respekt zur bayerische Leuten :)

Staying here has been one of our favourite holidays. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everyone (including other, mostly German, guests) have made us feel very welcome with our 11week old baby. When he occasionally cried / winged at dinner, people would say “don’t worry, it’s just a special kind of music for us” <3 , made a week long stay with a young baby so much less stressful, it was truly wonderful. The full board is a great value for money, great breakfast with lots of fresh bread and pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, plenty of options for tea and coffee, lots of fresh fruit and hot cooked options as well. It also has a chef station where you can oder custom omelettes as well as pancakes! Lunch is a similar set up i.e. buffet and salad bar, and everyday there are different options which keeps it interesting if you’re staying for a longer period of time. For dinner, you have a delicious 5 course meal with your choice of main. The Spa facilities are very zen and relaxing, done up to a very high standard. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are heated to 30 degrees with plenty of sun beds in the garden as well as inside. There are 4 different saunas, ice tray and scented showers, plenty of relaxing rooms including a Himalayan salt room and heated hung beds. You also get a free scrub and aloe vera cream to use. The Spa also has chilled water and apple juice on tap and a tea / coffee station. Treatments were lively and relaxing at a very reasonable rates. The bedroom was very spacious, with very comfortable bed and overall a fantastic layout and design of the room! The location is absolutely stunning, right in the middle of the Bavarian Forest, with hiking trails a short walk from the hotel. There are plenty of things to do, including a free zoo at Lusen, which is only a short drive away. A wonderful place for an active or relaxing (or both!) holiday. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

We have really enjoyed Auerer Retreat and the wonderful view from the balcony. Also the entire flat and the amenities delivered a highly comfortable stay and at the same time the central location in the Bavarian Forrest gave a unique starting point for our tours around. We have seen forrests, lakes, mountains, mines, medieval Passau and Regensburg and much more. We will take home a lovely amount of memories.

Very large spacious apartment, large lounge with comfortable sofa, very large bed which was really comfortable. Kitchen has all the facilities to cook a nice family meal. There is also a washing machine which is great when you are travelling through. Excellent communication from the host, access to the apartment is via a lockbox so there no stress of arriving by a certain time. There's a bakery underneath the apartment which does amazing produce, this is cash only to buy from and there's also a supermarket opposite which has a very good choice to purchase from. The property is set in the Bavarian Forest with beautiful views and a lovely village.
