Ferienanlage Zum Wildbach is situated in the small picturesque and charming village of Schierke. The appartement itself has plenty of space for a family. It was spotless clean and very well equipped for a long stay, including a washing machine in the common room. The beds were very good, and gave us good nights sleep. We were very well received by then staff, and they were helpful in every way. The surroundings are very quiet, and it is only a few minutes walk to restaurants, cafes, and the grocery store. Our favorite cafe is Café und Backhaus Zum Brockenbäcker. The place is a perfect base to explore the area, including a trip with the steam train to the top of the Brocken. We have stayed here before and will call again. Highly recommended.

The balcony was huge with a very tranquil view of the river below. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was relaxing. The dinner at the restaurant was also very nice.

Beautiful cottage, very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. The cottage had all the required comforts and the beds were very comfortable. We had a beautiful view from the cottage. Beautiful environment.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Most spoke good English which helped us poor German speakers. Our room was spotlessly clean and full of character. It had a great view of the castle and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was really good quality, it was served to the table in a classically decorated dining room. i.e. not a buffet. The hotel is only a short walk into town an ideal location for walking in the countryside. Overall an exceptional hotel in our view.

Paid a little extra to upgrade and I could have lived permanently in the one bedroom apartment, it was so roomy and comfortable. The position was good. A little out of town but took less than 10 minutes to get to centre and half way up to the castle.

This traditional 4-star hotel, dating from 1717, features underground parking, family rooms and It lies directly on Wernigerode’s historic market square, opposite the town hall.
