It was tucked away a couple of miles off the main road with spectacular distant views over the black forest areas. Fabulous sunsets, peaceful and quiet with cows grazing next to the property. We were two couples traveling through Europe and Bauerleshutte was a perfect place to stay for 3 days. Would recommend as it had everything we were looking for. the house is in a very quiet field. There is only one house nearby. But it only takes 10 min. to the nearest town to buy necessary material. The host is kind and nice. House is super clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Staying here is fantastic.

The apartment was clean and easy to find with plenty of room and was really comfortable. It had everything I needed and I loved having outside space. There’s a small supermarket and a restaurant in the village and more shops, restaurants and cafes in the nearby town. It’s really well positioned for visiting local lakes and hiking trails, and there are trails right on the doorstep too. Drive back to Freiburg was only an hour.
