There is so much to like. The apartment has been well renovated with lots of nice touches to feel like you are at home. It also has a complete kitchen so you can cook with all the crockery, glassware and utensils you'd need. Along with a large fridge and dishwasher. The washing machine was also appreciated. One of my favourite things was the view from the apartment over the lake and to the mountains. I watched the sunrise every day. It was beautiful. There's a table and chairs on the balcony so great for a morning coffee. Manuela the host is lovely. She left a number of things in the apartment to enjoy including coffee and biscuits, and checked in on me over message a number of times. I highly recommend this villa. Thank you for a delightful stay Manuela!

Nice hotel. The ladies that are working there, really try to make it comfortable for the clients. Food was also good. Wifi connection was a bit low in the room, but it worked fine.

The room was well furnished with a lovely mural of one of the Borromeo islands, was spacious with an updated bathroom with rain shower. The view of the lake was beautiful. The location was very central in the town and made it easy to get to the lake, local pool and the boats to Stresa and Ancona. We chose not to have a meal plan but the breakfasts we paid for were ample and the eggs prepared (frittata) as ordered. We also had a very lovely pasta lunch at the restaurant. The staff was very accommodating, efficient and friendly.

beautiful views , comfy, private, quiet. at first I was slightly shocked about the breakfast since is everything already there and you need to make it yourself. but then I found out they had a great selection, good quality products. fruits, yoghurt, marmalade, butter, bread and some sweet pastries. parking we found 50 m away from the house .

La Fontana is a family-managed hotel, set in an Art Nouveau villa of the 1940s with its own park. It is located in Stresa, just 164 feet from Lake Maggiore. All rooms are classically decorated.

Lovely boutique hotel. Excellent view. Nice short walk to the center of town. Excellent service from pleasant staff. Great breakfast.
