Hotel is just 2-3 minutes walk from bus stop with nice private onsen. Both breakfast and dinner are excellent and delicious.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station.

Auberge is a beautifully designed, minimalist small family run hotel. The rooms are a great size, comfortable and the bathrooms have lovely hot water onsen baths! What sets this place apart is the amazing food you can have for dinner and breakfast. It’s the best feeling coming down the stairs to eat in their lovely dining space, experience the most amazing food and wine pairings of your life and then easily walk upstairs to bed. Thank you for an amazing stay, we will definitely be back and recommend to all our friends.

This was the best accommodation of our trip to Japan. Great house, with everything you need. Very modern, exactly like as at the photos. The house is in a very quiet residential area, but you need a car as it is about 3 km to the city centre.

A 3-minute walk from Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, Okada Ryokan Warakutei features Japanese-style accommodations with mountain views.

The layout was nice, and the food was interesting and varied. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners. All fabulous.

Okuhida garden hotel yakedake is surrounded by nature and is located near Hirayu onsen. It is tucked away in the lap of nature and the rooms have a beautiful view with balcony. The rooms are typical Rokyon style and the amenities provided is ample. Stayed here after hiking Mt hotaka in kamikochi and I couldn't have asked for a better place to relax. I would definitely recommend okuhida garden to my fellow travelers.

It is exactly I expect an old tradition house type of Ryokan. The place is comfortable and roomie. Perfect environment for us as rest stops. And of course the Onsen is what we came for.

Very friendly and helpful staff with good communication. The hotel is very close to the station and you can book a tour with the hotel to Shirakawa Go or other spots near Takayama. The room was nice, tidy and at a really good price for the service. Would recommend!

The location is quiet and comfortable to reach by train, the breakfast was really good as well as the staff service, the room has a nice smell of traditional tatami mats, there's even the possibility to book a private bath! Really great accomodation
